In order to accomplish the study's goal, a descriptive survey approach was used. Four purposefully selected deposit money banks operating in Lagos, Nigeria, make up the study's population and they are Guaranty Trust Bank, Access Bank, FCMB, and First Bank of Nigeria. One hundred and twenty (120) employees were selected as the sample size from the population, and a primary source of data collection was used. The instrument for gathering data was a questionnaire and this was distributed at random to the several organizational levels of the chosen deposit money banks in Lagos, Nigeria. Out of all the employees in the chosen deposit money banks, 102 employees completed and returned the questionnaire to the researcher, accounting for 85% of the total number of respondents. Regression analysis was used to ascertain the relationship between the study variables, and the data were presented in tables using frequencies and percentages. The predictor variables of employee commitment (normative, affective, and continuance) and labor mobility were found to have a positive and significant relationship, with R2 values of 0.793, 0.807, and 0.790, respectively. After that, it was concluded that employee commitment is a crucial component of labor mobility within an organization and recommended that Deposit Money Banks in Nigeria concentrate on raising employee engagement and creating a feeling of community within their staff.
Augustine Chibueze Iherobiem, Mayowa Ebenezer Ariyibi Copyright (c) 2024 https://jb.ibsu.edu.ge/jms/index.php/jb/article/view/258 Mon, 11 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0400 The Determinants of Environmental, Social, and Governance Performance https://jb.ibsu.edu.ge/jms/index.php/jb/article/view/257
Promoting a Transformational Leadership style in business can fundamentally impact Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) performance. This study examines determinants of ESG and uses Transformational Leadership, Digital Adoption, Organizational Innovation, and Firm Competitiveness as independent variables to analyze changes in ESG activities. The study explores the mediation effect of organizational innovation among Transformational leadership and ESG, as well as digital adoption and ESG. The main aim of this research is to identify elements that can contribute to environmental, social, or governmental performances. The paper uses qualitative research for the study and utilizes 114 valid questionnaires to conduct a comprehensive and empirical analysis. The questionnaire was collected in Georgia Tbilisi, and the existing hypothesis was tested by conducting structural equation modeling with the collected questionnaire. After controlling for firm ownership and firm size the results of the study indicate that all independent variables have a positive effect on ESG performance and the mediation effect is not significant. The paper used artificial neural networks(ANN) analysis, and the results show that the most important variable affecting ESG performance is Transformational Leadership. This study adds an understanding of the relationship between TL and ESG and expands the literature that Transformational Leadership is significant to implement ESG performance.
Lika Asashvili, Arian Matin, Nia Todua Copyright (c) 2024 https://jb.ibsu.edu.ge/jms/index.php/jb/article/view/257 Wed, 11 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0400
